How it Works – The Essential Info.
Whether they’re in Ireland or anywhere in the world it’s the perfect fun and interactive event for your company or family group. Virtual Music Bingo is a fun spin on traditional bingo that allows your guests to jam out to snippets of their favourite songs while playing competitively against other music lovers!
With a broad range of music, onscreen tips, customisable selection of songs and branding available – anyone can play and win from the comfort of their own home!
The Concept
Instead of letters and numbers, the caller, or “DJ” in this case, plays 10-15 seconds of a song. Ideally, the songs are well-known by the players or popular songs heard on the radio.
Where it’s Played
Music Bingo is hosted via Zoom with one host running the event. Players ideally should have a PC/Laptop/Tablet to play to best can see the screen, though it can also be played on a phone.
Getting the tickets
The bingo cards would be emailed to you as images to be sent to each individual playing. (They are all different cards of course – large groups can choose cards via a shared document).
Using the game tickets
- Printed by each player to use pen and paper.
- OR save as images and open on a phone; use the “mark up” option in photos to use your finger to mark off the songs.
The songs are played on screen with audio and visuals on Zoom (the song names and artist are displayed on the screen, so people don’t need to know anything about music to still have a chance to win).
Playing
If they get the correct combination of songs simply message BINGO in the Zoom chat – the DJ can unmute their mic and enter the code on their ticket to see if they win.
Duration
Online Music Bingo can run as short or as long as you want. We usually suggest about an hour to an hour and a half – so maybe 3 rounds with breaks to allow time at the start for set up, and to explain the rules. We can do 1,2,3 or 4 rounds – it’s up to you to decide…..
Break-out Rooms
Between rounds groups can be split into breakout rooms for casual catch up chats, or your own hilarious group challenges such as EurovisionDress Up Competition! The DJ can interact with guests adding lots of fun and frolics to the night!
